"This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed." – Habakkuk 2:3 (NLT)
"Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty." – Zechariah 4:6 (NIV)
When the world is shifting in the wrong direction, which way will you go? Will you move with culture, fear, and uncertainty, or will you shift with God?
For a while now, I have felt the shift—an urgency, a stirring, a call to go where God is leading. Maybe you've felt it, too. But shifting with God isn't always easy. Have you ever hesitated? Have you felt the weight of uncertainty, wondering if you're truly hearing God or ready for what He asks?
The danger isn't just in waiting—it's in being so blinded by fear or bound by uncertainty that we miss the shift entirely. Fear has a way of clouding our vision, making us question whether we heard God clearly.
Doubt can tie us down, leaving us stuck when God is calling us forward—calling us to move forward through pain, anxiety, deliverance, and, yes, even towards repentance. You see, God is shifting in everything. He shifts in our healing, in our breakthrough, in our surrender. When the world shifts in the wrong direction, we must shift with God in the right direction.
Habakkuk 2:3 reminds us that God's timing is perfect. Even when we sense the shift but don't yet see the whole picture, we can trust that His plans will not be delayed. The question is, will we move with Him or allow fear to hold us back?
Zechariah 4:6 reminds us that we don't have to force it. The shift doesn't happen by our own strength but by His Spirit. Our job is not to figure everything out—it's to obey, trust, and step forward when He calls.
Delayed obedience can become disobedience. If He's calling, we must be ready to move. Even when we feel unsure, one thing is certain: if our hearts are surrendered, He will not let us miss His plan. But we must choose—will we be bound by fear or shift in faith with God? I certainly don't want to miss the shift of God; I want to move with Him. But when fear tries to hold me back, I whisper a prayer: "Lord, help me to shift with you. Give me clarity so that I can live to breathe again.

Father, I sense You shifting things in my life, and I don't want to miss what You are doing. Give me the faith to move when You move, to step forward without fear, and to trust that You will guide me. Lord, show me how to position myself to move in sync with You. Help me not to hesitate when You call but to shift with You in obedience and confidence, not by my strength but by Your Spirit. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Which direction are you shifting toward? Have you ever sensed God shifting something in your life but hesitated to move? What is holding you back from entirely shifting with God—fear, doubt, comfort, or uncertainty? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
