Her Bones Anew
Inspired by Ezekiel 37
Her valley, once dry and desolate,
She closes her eyes, wanting to isolate
Her bones scattered, lifeless, bleached by the sun,
A symbol of hopelessness, an end begun
In that valley of dry bones, so bleak and grim
Can she arise from demise and hope from within?
But a whisper of His voice said “live” in her ear
It broke a silence that she longed to hear
It was a command profound and clear,
As He spoke with compassion, there was a rattling sound,
Her bones began to move and gather around
His breath to her breath, bone to bone, and flesh
With God’s breath, a new life did mesh
Wanting to stand now tall,
She a testament to God’s power; after all
Yet, the vision did not stop at mere revival,
For the breath of God ascended, it was vital
It filled her lungs, her spirit restored,
She was reborn by His grace, which she adored
So, her eyes opened wide, bringing hope into her heart
She realized that no matter how dry, life can restart
The power of God can breathe life anew,
Transforming the hopeless into something true
For just as those bones, once lifeless and fragmented
She was raised, redeemed, and divinely connected,
She found herself resurrected from within,
As God’s spirit fills her, saving her soul again
She is reminded today,
That no situation is too far astray
With God, there’s always hope, a chance to revive
To see her dry bones dance and new life arrive
